Lakepaper, a subsidiary of Gmund Paper launched a design competition for the promotion of their latest paper range called ‘Blocker’. The task was to design a foldable poster which would somehow illustrate the main benefit, namely the enhanced opacity of the paper.
The client chose Varese Corridor’s proposal which exemplifies the theme of opacity through the game of blind man’s buff. The poster which acted as a supplement to the graphics magazine ‘Novum’ contains brief instructions on the traditional game as well as a blindfold in the shape of paper spectacles. These invite the recipient to test the opacity of the paper in a playful and humorous manner.
